Tecnocarp’s new photovoltaic system has been up and running since September 2013.
The intervention was installed to improve sustainability at the Ponte dell’Olio plant, starting with power regeneration for the building. Between June and September, we replaced the roofing on the factory building, disposing of the laminate completely and insulating the roof space for better air conditioning in both summer and winter.
A 140 kW system of photovoltaic panels was then placed on the roof, allowing us to cover a good amount of the building’s energy needs.
Installation of photovoltaic panels is a definite step forward in combating atmospheric pollution: reducing energy requirements from other sources, especially from thermal power stations, and contributing to reducing CO2 emissions in the air.
Tecnocarp is fully aware of the environmental impact of metal and mechanical companies but at the same time, it is sure of the role that they can play in safeguarding, prevention and awareness raising, which in turn means an important step forward on the long road that leads to sustainability.
