Giuseppe Ballotta, Tecnocarp director and president of the local mechanical companies’ association, has taken part to the online event on youth employment organized by the local school IS Mattei in Fiorenzuola (Piacenza). In this area, the unemployment rate is half the national one, with some sectors in constant growth i.e., environment, plastics and services.
Giuseppe Ballotta reports that sectors such as “oil & gas, mechanical and piping currently suffer a lack in resources. The future of our companies is not only linked to an entrepreneurial attitude, but it mainly lies in our workers’ skills. We sometimes have many orders and few people to realize them.”
The online meeting was attended by other members of local companies, associations and schools, dealing with themes such as industry4.0, smart working, digital skills and foreign languages, which are becoming key values even for small and medium-sized enterprises.
